ARE THE LIGHTS SAFE?
All styles in our Northern Lights™ collection use batteries that are encased in a hard resin. This makes the lighting system not only very durable to impact, but also safe from water. For any style that uses a rechargeable lighting system, please note that while the battery is likewise encased in a hard resin, rechargeability requires an open micro-USB port. This micro-USB port is covered by a flap to prevent contact with water. Should water still somehow enter in, please be advised there is no danger to the user due to the low voltage / current setting of the lighting system.
WHICH STYLES ARE RECHARGEABLE?
As of our latest generation of products , the Nebula style features a button-activated, rechargeable lighting system. Other Northern Lights™ styles are vibration-activated and non-rechargeable.
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE LIGHTS?
1) Locate the lightning bolt symbol inside the collar of the boot.
2) Lift the flap cover.
3) To turn on or change colour mode, press on the red button. To turn off, press and hold the red button for several seconds.
HOW TO CHARGE THE BOOTS?
1) Insert micro USB into charging port.
2) Connect USB plug to computer or USB plug adapter (not included).
3) Lights will flash while charging. Flashing stops when fully charged.
